Class Locations:
Classroom locations are indicated on the course confirmation that is mailed to you. If you do not know your room location please call (212) 650-3850 or check the course listing here on the website.
  • Hunter College, East 68th Street and Lexington Avenue (East, West, North, and/or Thomas Hunter Buildings). The 68th St. campus is primarily used for art, computer, afternoon and weekend courses.
  • Hunter College Campus Schools (CS), 71 East 94th Street (between Park and Madison).  Many weeknight courses take place at the Campus Schools facilities.
  • Computer Courses are located in either the Thomas Hunter Building's 4th Floor Reading and Writing Center or in room C104 of the North Building.

Class Size & Course Cancellations:
All classes require a minimum number of registrants in order for them to run. Every attempt will be made to notify students at least 24 hours prior to your first class if the course is cancelled. Students are advised to check the web site or call the Continuing Education office to confirm that their class is running.  A full refund will be given for course cancellations.
Note: Hunter reserves the right to cancel classes, change rooms, locations, alter times, dates, instructors and/or tuition without prior notification if necessary. We regret any inconvenience this may cause and will make every attempt to accommodate students.

Individual Class Cancellations & Make-Up Classes:
Occasionally, a class may be cancelled due to an unforeseen emergency or instructor’s illness. Make-up classes are scheduled by the instructor.

Discounts:
All discounts are available on individual courses of $100 or more, on a space available basis. For computer and language classes with discounts registration begins 5 days prior to start of class. Discounts do not apply to additional fees for materials, special equipment or for classes that are co-sponsored with another organization.
Discounts are calculated as follows unless otherwise indicated:

-Certificate programs 10% discount for Hunter employees, students (must present proof).
- 20% discount for Hunter employees, students, and senior citizens (Aged 63+) (must present proof).
- 10% discount for Hunter alumni and CUNY employees (must present proof).

Promotion Discounts cannot be combined with any other discounts.

You must register by mail, fax or in person to take the discount and be prepared to show proof. You cannot take the discount when registering on-line. Discounts must be taken at the time of registration. Discounts will not be given retroactively. Discounts may not be combined. Any exceptions to the above policy require the Director’s written approval. Refer to the IELI brochure for discount policy.
